Savor Every Morning
the Columbia Way
For over five decades, neighbors have gathered at our Cecil B. Moore Ave. counter for breakfast that's made from scratch, coffee that's always fresh, and a welcome that feels like home.

Our Story
A North Philly
Tradition
Columbia Diner opened its doors in 1968 on Cecil B. Moore Avenue, and the warmth hasn't dimmed since. What started as a simple corner counter serving coffee and eggs has grown into a neighborhood landmark β the place where students grab a quick bite before class, where construction workers fuel up for the day, and where families come together on weekend mornings.
We bake our own bread in-house every morning. We source our eggs from local farms. And we still believe that a proper meal starts with ingredients you can trust and a smile that's genuinely meant.

What People Say
Loved by the
Neighborhood
"This is the kind of place that makes you believe in community. The food is incredible, the coffee never stops, and everyone knows your name. I've been coming here for years and it never disappoints."
"The Columbia Special is hands-down the best breakfast in Philadelphia. Generous portions, perfectly cooked eggs, and that hash brown β I dream about it. Plus the price can't be beat."
"We bring all our out-of-town guests here. There's nothing fake about Columbia Diner β real food, real people, real Philadelphia. The banana bread alone is worth the visit."
